It’s Ubisoft that lift some of the veil on the third game in the series, in connection with a report on the company’s next financial year. It might be a bit of a surprise to some since the second game in the series is still is hot on the market, with it’s launch less than three months ago.

The company’s financial year begins in April 2010 and ends in March next year. So far, we know that Assassin’s Creed 3 will be launched within this period. Without speculating too much on the date, it seems very likely with a fall release, perhaps as early as November.

Perhaps even more important is the buzz of online gaming. The first two games was a solid solo gaming adventure, but now Ubisoft wants to take it all one step further. So far the first game has sold over eight million copies. The second game in the series is closing in with six million copies sold. Perhaps not surprising, since it is a great great game.
