ASUS Lanching Eee Pad to Take on Apples iPad

Earlier rumors that Asus is working on a tablet with the name Eee Pad is now confirmed to be true.

Apple currently gets a lot of attention with the launch of its tablet iPad, but the fact is that many other companies are working on similar products. It has been rumored that Asus will launch a model called Eee Pad and this is now confirmed by the company itself.

In an interview with Engadget a few says ago Asus CEO Eric Chen says that the Eee Pad is under development. Unfortunately he did not reveal much more about the computer other than that it will be equipped with an ARM processor and 3G connectivity.

Eric Chen also happens to mention the name Eee Book but he does not reveal what type of device it is.
Maybe it’s
the name of an upcoming e-book reader? Who knows?

At least we know that one of the names are:
