This year’s finals in American Football is the 44 th in a row and the finalists are the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts. If you are not familiar to the game, you probably miss some of the beauty of a perfect blitz and sack of Defense or the desperate frenzy in a 50 yard hail mary in the closing seconds.
But it is not only tough tackles and beautiful passing game makes Super Bowl so cool. The show is also world class (this year it’s The Who), and even advertisements broadcast is ridiculously expensive.
In 2010, the cost of a 30-second commercial on average will be approximately US $3.01 million. This excludes production costs and fees for actors, equipment, ad agencies, directors, crew and other personnel. In 2009, NBC sold out all the advertising spots for record revenue US $206,000,000.
Thanks to the Super Bowl commercials the talk for decades has been – which the company will announce, what will be advertised, is it daring, funny, or even in 3D?
