Microsoft has done a good job with wallpapers in recent years. The problem is that there is not too much to choose from. Or is it?

In the time that Windows 7 has been available, from the beta to the finished version, Microsoft has increased their selection of official wallpapers. In addition, there are various theme packages and not least local backgrounds aimed at buyers in specific parts of the world or countries. This means that you not only find general pictures, but also more recognizable structures, landscapes, landmarks and nature from around the globe.
A nice background makes your PC screen a little brighter.
This has resulted in a lot of wallpapers, and a patient person has collected no less than 338 of these in a theme package. If you are not familiar with Windows 7 and themes, this is a collection of elements that give you a new desktop experience. A theme can consist of colors, sounds, backgrounds, mousepointers and screensavers, but also simple elements – such as wallpapers only. In Windows 7 you can also set the wallpapers to be replaced at any giiven time, so you autmaticly get a new wallpaper each day.
You can download the images here. Most of them has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels or more, and tha package is approximately 230 megabytes. If you are using Windows XP or Vista the themes won’t work, but you can download a zip file with all the 338 wallpapers at the bottom of this page where you can also get a preview.
