Tuesday in the US and Wednesday in Europe, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be expanded with the co-op mode Onslaught.

Onslaught mode is a mode where a squad of 4 players will fight in new co-op missions against hordes of computer-controlled enemies across 4 new maps. The expansion gives you the ability to unlock 8 new achievement/trophies.

Onslaught is priced at $9,99/€8,99/£6,99 on PlayStation Network or 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live Marketplace. However, it is currently only available for PlayStation 3.

The Xbox version will be available “in the very near future”, but PC users will most likely not get access to this game mode, since using dedicated servers for only 4 players would probably not be appropriate. There is still hope, as DICE claims to be investigating the possibility to bring it to the PC version.
