Youtube has updated the mobile version of the video service, so that it is now better suited for iOS and Android phones.

YouTube has launched an enhanced version of YouTube Mobile which uses HTML5 to play videos. The user interface has been redesigned to work better with mobile phones and tablets like the iPad.

Now you can like videos, create playlists and get suggestions for related videos. The new Youtube Mobile is offering even more functionality than the youtube application that comes with the iPhone and iPad, as it is now easy to choose to play videos in HD resolution.
In a blog post Google says that the mobile service now serves over 100 million video clips per day. According to a study conducted by the research firm Morgan Stanley, more users will connect to the Internet from a mobile device compared to a desktop computer within five years.
So far, only the English version of YouTube Mobile has been updated but other languages will be updated in coming months.
