Britain’s second largest mobile operator O2 will no longer offer fixed prices for data traffic on mobile phones.

The plan to scrap unlimited data was published on Thursday. The new subscriptions, which allow customers to pay different amounts depending on how much data traffic they use, is valid from June 24, the day O2 will start selling the iPhone 4, according to the Financial Times.

Recently, even the U.S. operator AT&T announced that the fixed prices shall be eliminated and more operators are expected to follow soon. Orange och T-Mobile plans to offer a data limit, like the UK operator Three has. Vodafone has already introduced some limitations.
