Game titles like Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and Return to Castle Wolfenstein now becomes open source.

It was during the conference Quakecon 2010, that id Software said that they will open up the code to the game titles Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
The code will be released under the free GPL license and are downloadable from id Software’s ftp archive.
The games was already free since a few years back, but can now also be modified for distribution on Linux. No information is available of the code only beeing released under a free license, or even if the graphics in the game are released under Creative Commons.

The game Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, is available for download here. The game is available for Linux, Mac and Windows.
