There are a lot of programs for Mac OS X that allows you to delete so-called cache files. One of the better ones is free and is called Cache Out X.
There are many reasons as for why you should regularly clean out old cache files. In addition to recovering valuable hard disk space, these files can mess up when updating your browser.
With the free program Cache Out X from TriLateral Systems you can get rid of saved copies of web sites that you have visited, history and cookies, but also various junk files in the system. Just check what you what to remove as senn in the screenshot above. It’s as simple as that.
