Sony is preparing to launch their first models of Google TV, and will showcase their new products in October.

Sony brought their first TV model with Google TV to the holiday press event by Best Buy. The website HD Guru was there and got some exclusive photos of the new model.

According to HD Guru, the screen on the first Google HDTV (Sony NSX-46GT1), is 46″. It apparently uses LED lighting, and is a very sleek and slim TV.

You can stream content from various services and it is possible to surf the web via a remote control, or you can use an application for iPhone or Android.

Sony also demonstrated how the search funcion worked. You can type the name of a program in a search box, and the schedule with day, time and channel will appear on the screen.
