One of the smallest news in iTunes 10, but probably the one that has attracted most attention, is the re-designed logo.

Aplle launched iTunes 10 last week, and among a lot of other great news was the integration with the social network Ping and a redesigned interface. But one relatively small thing that has upset Apple fans around the world, and that seems to be the redisigned logo.

The old icon contained of a music note floating above a compact disc logo (see above), but the new one replaces it is a blue bubble containing a music note, which many apparently has found upsetting.
Wired reports of a user who was so upset that he e-mailed Steve Jobs and complained about the logo, and he soon got one of Job’s typically short, but famous replies:
Steve,
Enjoyed the presentation today. But … this new iTunes logo really sucks. You’re taking 10+ years of instant product recognition and replacing it with an unknown. Let’s both cross our fingers on this….
Jobs’ reply, terse as usual, was such:
We disagree.
