There are many strange simulators on the PC game market and Farming Simulator 2011 must be said to add to that list.

If you think FarmVille is becoming a bit boring, maybe you would like to try a simulator instead? In Farming Simulator 2011, created by Giants Software, you take on the role of a young farmer and experience the workaday life in the countryside in a completely adapted and freely accessible farmer’s world. Through several activities such as plowing fields, seeding and baling hay you build up financial resources allowing you to buy better equipment. Visit the local agricultural machinery store to buy new vehicles and equipment or to sell your old machines.

Now you have the possibility to test whether farming is something you would like, thanks to a demo. The demo contains two missions from the full game, one involving harvesting corn, the other baling hay. You can read some impressions of the demo at Rock Paper Shotgun.

And to get a glimpse of what the game looks like before downloading it, you can check out the trailer below.

The demo is 186 MB, and can be downloaded here.
