Users around the world have begun to notice that the Market is updated on phones running Froyo, Android 2.2. The update seems to be adding adding a new tab to the app details screen called “Similar” or “Related” depending on the device you are using.

In the example above, the Droid X screen on the left shows a “Similar” tab, while the Evo 4G shows “Related”. It seems that the two have similar functionality except for the name of the tab.

Google has not yet commented the new features of the update, but it is clear that the update is currently beeing rolled out to devices running Android 2.2. Possibly this is one of many incremental updates that will make the transition to Gingerbread, Android 2.3, go smoother.
