They all plegde to give away most of their fortune, in what is part of Bill Gates Thanksgiving Pledge campaign that the Microsoft entrepreneur started last August. So far, this campaign has managed to bring in 50 people with high personal wealth.

The agreement is in no way legally binding and it is not yet known what the money will be spent on, but Bill Gates is already known for his fight against malaria and his focus on green technology.

Mark Zuckerberg emerged as a major donor this year. In September, he made his first major charitable gift “The Oprah Winfrey Show“, where he promised to give up to $100 million to public schools in Newark, according to The Wall Street Journal.
