Mozilla just released the final version of Firefox 4 on tuesday, but the company has also released the RC (release candidate) version of Firefox 4 for Android. In the latest version Mozilla has made several bug fixes and updates to improve the performance of the mobile browser.

These improvements include faster scrolling of web pages, faster page load time, reduced startup time, improved performance in synchronization and a feature to copy and paste web forms. In addition, it is now possible to install plugins, but the browser needs to be restarted.

Firefox 4 for Android has been tested since April last year and was originally codenamed Fennec. The new RC version of Firefox 4 for Android means that the final version of the browser will be released soon.

Firefox 4 RC available for download from the Android Market.
