Firefox has existed as a beta version to be downloaded and tested on phones running Android, for a long time now. But now, Mozilla has finally released the full version.

Here are some of the features in Firefox for Android:

  • Full Screen View
  • Put the Web center stage with one-touch bookmarking, tabbed browsing and conveniently stowed away controls
  • Firefox Sync
  • Access your history, bookmarks, open tabs, passwords and form data across all your computers and mobile devices
  • Add-ons
  • Enjoy thousands of ways to customize the features, functionality and look of your Firefox
  • Browse More, Type Less
  • Browse efficiently with the Awesome Screen, Share Page, Save to PDF and Add Search Engine

Unfortunately, Firefox for Android does not offer support for Flash, and some of the comments seem to thimk that the browser is to slow and has a large footprint on your phone. Anyway, it is a very promising start for Mozilla, and the Sync Feature allows you to keep all your online gadgets (with Firefox) in sync.

Firefox is available for Android version 2.1 and higher, and can be download for free from Android Market. Be aware that the download file is 14169 kb, but at least it supports App2SD.
