Apple CEO Steve Jobs promised that iOS 4.3 would be released on March 11, but Apple has already released the final vesion of iOS 4.3 for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.

Here are some of the new features:

  • Personal Hotspot for iPhone 4 – Share your connection with up to five devices at once over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB — with up to three of those connections using Wi-Fi.
  • iTunes Home Sharing – play your entire iTunes library from anywhere in the house. If it’s on your Mac or PC, you can play it on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch over a shared Wi-Fi network.
  • AirPlay Enhancements – In addition to music, movies, and photos, AirPlay now streams video from your Photos app. So you can shoot a home video and instantly share it with everyone in the room.
  • Safari Performance – Better responsiveness of the new Nitro JavaScript engine powering Safari. It runs JavaScript up to twice as fast as in iOS 4.2.2.
  • HD video output – using Apple Digital AV Adapter.
  • New Ping features – including Parental Control. New settings, including the opportunity to decide if the side button is used to lock the screen orientation or mute the sound.
  • Miscellaneous bug and security fixes.

The new version of iOS is available for download via iTunes. Remember to backup before you start the update.

The iPhone 3G and the first and second generation of the iPod Touch is not supported in this update. For more information, visit the official Apple website.
