Electronic Arts has recently acquired the independent game studio Firemint Pty Ltd, which is well known for their work in developing games for mobile platforms.

Firemint is located in Melbourne, Australia, and has previously been behind games like Flight Control and Real Racing to Apple’s iOS. In cooperation with Firemint, EA promises to increase their range of mobile games with lots of exciting titles in the future.

About the deal, EA has made the following comments:
