Ubisoft has announced the first details about the next game from Nadeo, the creators of the popular racing game TrackMania. The game is called ShootMania Storm, and it’s an online PC multiplayer first person shooter. The beta testing of the game will start in few months, according to the press release.

Like in the TrackMania series, user created levels will be central to ShootMania Storm, and the game will be sold with an integrated and intuitive editing tool that allow players to easily create their own levels. These can then be shared with others, and new levels are automatically downloaded when you play on a server that uses them. Ubisoft says that the game will continue to focuse on online competition and massive fun. ShootMania Storm will eventually be launched via ManiaPlanet.

Otherwise, the press release is very sparse on the details, but the first concept image (see top) from the game shows a futuristic game where players seem to be able to fly.

Nadeo is also working on an RPG, called QuestMania, but there is not very much information available about that game either.
