According to the American analyst Ben Schacter, Google will shortly launch a version of the Chrome browser for Apple’s mobile platform. The purpose of an iOS version of Chrome is said to be to retain a greater proportion of the search revenue on iOS.

Since Chrome, like Safari, is also based on Webkit there will probably not be any reason for Apple to stop Google Chrome to appear on the App Store.  Schacter think we might see Google Chrome coming to iPhone and iPad relatively soon, perhaps within a month or two.
