Apple App Store

Apple recently released the final version of OS X Yosemite, and now Apple has chosen to customize the appearance of the Mac App Store for the new OS. As a result of the update, the former “Carousel” in the top has been replaced by rectangular fields where Apple display the most interesting apps and updates.

The new design includes thinner fonts, simple white backdrop and gray separators synonymous with Yosemite.  For some, just a few parts of the store have the new design, whereas for others nothing has changed. Apple should finish rolling out the software update shortly.

Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of Software Engineering, has described OS X Yosemite as, “the most advanced version of OS X we’ve ever built, with a brand new design, amazing Continuity features and powerful versions of the apps you use every day. OS X Yosemite ushers in the future of computing, where your Apple devices all work together seamlessly and magically. It’s something only Apple can do.”

If you have yet to update to OS X Yosemite it available as a free download from the Mac App Store.
